It was only a matter of time before this happened: Mansory has gotten its mitts on the Ineos Grenadier.

Mansory is based in the German city of Brand and is known for bright and busy modifications of high-end supercars and luxury cars, but has been known to turn its attention to unexpected models (the Smart Fortwo, for example).

The Ineos Grenadier British bush-basher is the latest model to begrudgingly brandish the Brand brand’s badging and bodywork.

On the outside, Mansory has had its way with some of the bodywork and lighting: a tweaked face, a bonnet bulge, plenty of new LEDs and widebody arches over the wheels join a slathering of carbon fibre to make the Grenadier look admittedly tough, perhaps tougher than the carbon fibre would suggest.

At most times, the Mansory logo is visible as many as half a dozen times — sometimes more — on the Grenadier, depending on which angle you view the 4X4 from. ‘Subtle’ doesn’t appear in the Mansory dictionary.

Inside, that becomes extremely evident.

A bright 'Maroon' leather interior is contrasted with plenty of carbon fibre trim, lashings of Mansory logos and a few modifications to the controls and panelling.

There’s a fridge in the between the seats, illuminated door panels, Mansory-specific elements like the steering wheel, and the brand has also relocated the stop-start switch to the roof.

Underneath, the 4X4 has been lifted and given a suspension tweak — it now sits 2cm higher and rides on 20-inch wheels. Mansory says this is for improved off-road ability.

The BMW-sourced engine native to the Grenadier has also had a once-over, now making 257kW and 560Nm.

Like much of the work carried out by Mansory, pricing isn’t published but it’s a case of ‘if you have to ask …’
