LDV G10 Executive People Mover 2018 pricing and specs

The LDV G10 people mover range has been bolstered by a new luxury-focused Executive model, which is being offered as the flagship variant in the line-up.

The new model is priced at $36,990 drive-away for the seven-seat version and $38,990 drive-away for the nine-seater - a $7000 jump over each of the respective entry-level versions - but it sports a host of new equipment to warrant the Executive tag and price bump.

The standard interior trim is leather - that was previously available only on the nine-seater, with cloth on the seven-seat version. Plus the Executive brings new dual electric sliding side doors with remote opening, an electric tailgate on the seven-seat model with handsfree motion sensor (nine-seat retains manual tailgate).

There are further inclusions such as a new 10.0-inch dash-top media screen that doubles as a display for the newly added 360-degree surround view camera system.

As with the more affordable model, the Executive rides on 16-inch alloy wheels, and has adaptive xenon headlights as standard. But the newly added flagship version gains a body kit, a trio of glass roof panes, and speaking of keeping your passengers’ eyes up, there’s a new drop-down media screen mounted behind the front-row seats. There are air-vents to all rows, and the addition of a temperature and fan controller integrate into the panel around the roof-mount screen.

There are further inclusions such as a new 10.0-inch dash-top media screen that doubles as a display for the newly added 360-degree surround view camera system. We hope the screen includes an updated media system platform - the existing one was frustrating at times. Buyers will get Bluetooth phone and audio streaming and USB connectivity, but no Apple CarPlay or Android Auto smartphone mirroring.

That latest addition is a welcome one, but the LDV G10 still lacks some of the modern safety features buyers have come to expect: there are only dual front airbags - no side front airbags or curtain airbags to speak of - and you can forget smart safety items like forward collision warning, auto emergency braking (AEB), lane-keeping assist and blind-spot monitoring. It scored a three-star (out of five) ANCAP crash-test rating based on 2015 standards. 

Buyers interested in the LDV G10 People Mover can have it in a range of colours, all at no extra cost, including 'Blanc White', 'Ocean Blue', 'Lava Grey' and 'Obsidian Black'.

The new 2018 LDV G10 people mover Executive model is powered by the same 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine with 165kW of power and 330Nm of torque, is still rear-wheel drive and still comes with a six-speed automatic transmission as standard. 

LDV backs its G10 models with a three-year/100,000km warranty, with the same cover included for roadside assistance. The ute and SUV models in its range come with a five-year/130,000km warranty and roadside cover.
