Hyundai has shown off a refreshed Ioniq 6 at the Seoul Mobility Show, while teasing the long-awaited N Line and N performance variants.

Despite its sleek design, embodied by its swooping roofline, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 hasn’t exactly been a sales hit in Australia, with the brand offloading just 1041 units of the electric car since it arrived locally in 2023.

Its Ioniq 5 sibling has proven to be much more popular, despite both models riding on the same E-GMP platform.

Hyundai will be hoping to change that with the Ioniq 6’s new look, which carries thinner LED daytime running lights, new front and rear bumpers, wheel designs and sporty bonnet accents.

The interior looks much the same, with dual screens for multimedia and digital driver’s display functions, aside from a new steering wheel that adds a third spoke.

No changes to the car's platform have been detailed by Hyundai as of yet, with the brand choosing to focus on design upgrades instead. The Ioniq 6 currently delivers a peak output of 239kW/605Nm under the top-spec Epiq guise.

It's not clear how the Ioniq 6's range will be affected, the existing version delivering a peak 614km of driving range from a 77.4kWh lithium-ion battery.

Similarly, no additional powertrain details were revealed for the incoming N Line, though it will be distinguishable by some additional design tweaks, such as a unique front bumper, wheels and N Line badging.

The Ioniq 6 N was teased even more discreetly, with Hyundai’s official images only showcasing the tail of the car, which boasts a unique LED tail-light bar and rear spoiler. It will, of course, be offered in Hyundai’s hero Blue Matte colour scheme.

Once again, powertrain details remain under wraps, though it is likely to utilise the same twin-motor and 84.0kWh battery powertrain that delivers momentous peak outputs of 478kW/770Nm on the Ioniq 5 N.

We also expect it to carry features like Hyundai’s N Active Sound and e-Shift for artificial exhaust notes and gear shifting, respectively.

More details on the upgraded Ioniq 6 are expected to flow throughout the year, with Hyundai Australia confirming we can expect to see it in Australia later this year, with the N scheduled to arrive by the middle of 2026.
