Volkswagen Australia has officially revealed pricing and specifications for its new-generation Tiguan.

Starting at $44,990, before on-road costs, for the entry-grade 110TSI Life, the third-generation Tiguan is $1000 dearer than its predecessor but boasts an array of design, technology and safety upgrades in return.

For 2025, the Tiguan adopts a much rounder and softer design thanks to updated bumpers and trims, while boasting sleek new LED headlights and tail-lights joined by front and rear LED light strips.

Additionally, the Life now adopts 19-inch alloy wheels, keyless entry, a power tailgate, a surround-view camera, wireless charging, a digital driver’s display and a 12.9-inch multimedia display with satellite navigation, wireless app-connect and digital radio as standard inclusions.

Adaptive cruise control, front assist with pedestrian and cyclist monitoring and side assist with rear traffic alert also join side exit warning, front cross traffic assist, park assist plus, nine airbags and dynamic roadside assist as standard safety features.

Stepping up to the Tiguan 110TSI Elegance, it kicks of at $50,690, before on-road costs, and adds chrome roof rails and trims, rear privacy glass, LED Plus headlights with a centre light strip, leather-appointed upholstery, comfort sport seats with power adjustment, heating, ventilation and massage functions.

Customers can opt for a Sound & Vision package for an additional $2700, which adds a head-up display, a Harman Kardon premium audio system and a panoramic sunroof.

Both the 110TSI Life and 110TSI Elegance are powered by a 1.4-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, which sends 110kW/250Nm to the front wheels through a six-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The 150TSI R-Line now replaces the 162TSI R-Line as the stepping stone to the top-spec 192TSI R-Line, with a $4600 reduction on its predecessor's starting price.

It carries a more powerful 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that delivers 150kW/320Nm to all four wheels, an R-Line body kit, unique 19-inch alloys, sport seats with integrated headrests and sports cloth upholstery, as well as progressive steering. Off the line it will hit 100km/h in 7.1 seconds.

Stepping up to the 150TSI Elegance, at $60,690, before on-road costs, it pairs the 150TSI R-Line’s sportiness with extra luxury features by standardising the Sound and Vision package, HD Matrix LED headlights, adaptive high-beam, LED plus rear tail-lights with dynamic indicators, a larger 15.0-inch multimedia display and adaptive chassis control.

Headlining the range is the 195TSI R-Line at $70,490, before on-road costs, which steps up power and torque to 195kW and 400Nm. It sprints from 0-100km/h in 5.9 seconds.

Exclusive to the 195TSI R-Line, customers can opt for the Black Style package for $1500. It adds black mirror housings, black roof rails, window trim strips, R-Line front and black rear bumpers with high-gloss black trim and unique 20-inch alloy wheels.
