The Ram 1500 Limited is the flagship of the facelifted pick-up range.
Built in the US and converted to right-hand drive in Australia, the Limited gets more standard equipment including 22-inch alloy wheels, a larger fuel tank and massage front seats. It’s also fitted with the Night Edition package which adds black-outs to the exterior fittings including the grille and mirror covers.
Mechanically, the Limited uses the same four-wheel-drive platform and eight-speed automatic transmission as the 1500 in other forms, but gains a higher output of the new inline six-cylinder twin-turbocharged engine.

Power jumps to 403kW and 707Nm, but the gain is offset by the need to use premium unleaded.
A five-seater, the Limited costs $159,950 from launch.
Fuel economy in the real world is expected to be around 12 litres per 100km, and the vehicle can sprint from rest to 100km/h in just over five seconds.
The Ram 1500 comes with a three-year/100,000km warranty and there’s no capped-price servicing for the 12 month/12,000km intervals.
There’s no official safety rating, but the Laramie Sport comes with the usual driver aids including AEB, lane-keep assistance and rear cross-traffic alert. Over the Laramie Sport, the Limited adds a surround camera system and traffic sign recognition.
Ram has taken 300kg off the other 1500’s towing capacity for a capacity of 4200kg, allowing for the Limited’s air suspension and performance tyres.
