Mazda 3 2008: Is it a good buy for $10,000?

A 2008 Mazda 3 Neo would be a good choice, but I would be trying to get it for $8500-$9000, $10,000 is too much unless it is a very low mileage example. Others to consider would be the Honda Civic VTi, which would be my preference, and the Hyundai Elantra.

Honda Civic 100,000km service

I doubt that it's related to the automatic gearbox, the engine is running roughly and is sluggish when cold. That points to a problem with the cold enrichment of the engine, and I would be getting it hooked up to a diagnostic analyser and checking things like the sensors that supply information to the car's computer.

Ask Smithy Xtra Honda paint quality

We have had a few reports of issues with the paint on Hondas, but they’ve been complaints of fading and usually it’s on red coloured cars.
