The Kia Rio 2008 prices range from $2,640 for the basic trim level Hatchback EX to $4,950 for the top of the range Hatchback LX.
It needs investigation, and because it is still under warranty I would urge you take it to a Kia dealer. It could be that the fluid needs to be changed, although it shouldn’t at such low kilometres, so perhaps it’s something to do with the driveline computer.
I favour following the maker's recommendation when it comes to maintenance. It might seem unnecessary expense when nothing wrong's, but better safe than sorry.
