There’s not much to do in Townsville, Queensland other than drink beer, shoot guns and wreck cars.

YouTube channel, Sick Puppy 4x4 Adventures specialises in doing all the above at once (something we don’t recommend), which results in some chaotic, but brilliant videos.

Making myself even prouder to be a Queenslander, these guys have just created the ultimate off-roader by whacking together a Mazda BG 323 and Ford KF Laser.

The hosts, Cody and Spud sliced the cars in half before joining the noses together with two metal poles, some screws, ratchet straps and general-purpose rope.

Called Thing 1 and Thing 2, on the roof sits the fuel tank (safety can get stuffed!) and in the middle is an esky, because you need to stay hydrated while driving.

Can it drift? Check. Can it parallel park? You bet. Can it do J-turns? No problem.

Is there anything the conjoined twins can’t do? Well, water, mud, trees and bad wiring seem to be its only weaknesses.

Is this the best Aussie invention yet? Let us know in the comments.

Following a passion shared by his father and grandfather, Mitchell’s love of cars really kicked off with his Godfather’s purchase of a new Mazda RX-8. Exposure to that car changed his world forever, leading to an RX-7 obsession. To feed his automotive addiction, Mitchell decided to become a motoring journalist and made his mark at several high-profile motoring publications before landing at CarsGuide. While he is a rotary loyalist, Mitchell also has a massive love for Aussie muscle cars, and dreams of one day getting behind the wheel of a Charger R/T E49 (if anyone will let him). His other passions include Queensland, and spending Saturdays with the boys.
