The Peugeot e-2008 is the battery electric version of the French brand’s 2008 small SUV. Arriving in Australia in 2023 as a rival to Volvo’s EX30 and Renault’s Megane E-Tech the e-2008 has a 100kW/360Nm electric motor.
A 50kWh lithium ion battery offering a range of 328km (WLPT), while 100kW DC charging menas the e-2008 can be charged from 0-80 per cent in 30 minutes.
An updated e-2008 will arrive in 2025 offering a larger battery with a longer range.
The line-up currently starts at $45,100 for the E-2008 GT and ranges through to $52,470 for the range-topping E-2008 GT.

The 2008's interior consists of a unique 'iCockpit' design consisting of a deep-set instrument cluster and low-set steering wheel. The interior has an abundance of soft-touch surfaces in either synthetic leather or cloth, and features a terraced dash layout.

The 2008 can accelerate from 0-100km/h in 9.2 seconds with the 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo engine, while the electric e-2008 can sprint from 0-100km/h slightly faster, in 9.0 seconds. Top speed is just under 190km/h for the petrol version and around 150km/h in the e-2008.
Standard equipment on the 2008 range includes 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, ambient interior lighting, a 7.0-inch multimedia touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a 10.0-inch digital instrument cluster, cloth and synthetic leather interior trim, dual-zone climate control, keyless entry and push-start ignition, a 180-degree reversing camera, and an auto-dimming rear vision mirror.

The standard engine in the 2008 range is a 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbocharged unit producing 94kW/230Nm. Alternatively, the electric e-2008 has a 100kW/260Nm front-mounted electric motor.
