Volkswagen has revealed the updated T-Cross for 2024 with refreshed styling, updated specs and new standard features.

Headlining the changes are standard LED headlights across the range, with an updated face to better fit in with the brand's evolving aesthetic. It is also 27mm longer than before thanks to the revised bumper designs. The update also brings revised rear light clusters and new wheel designs.

Inside, like other recent VW updates, the 2024 T-Cross goes digital-only with an 8.0-inch digital dash and 8.0-inch multimedia touchscreen, upgradable to a 10.0-inch digital dash and 9.2-inch multimedia screen depending on grade. The same can be said for the climate unit, which has gone touch-only, following in the footsteps of the recent T-Roc update.

Other upgrades include more extensive use of soft-touch surfaces on the interior to lift the feel of the car, while the palette of colour choices has also been refreshed.

Images confirm the arrival of an R-Line variant, again following in the footsteps of recent updates to the T-Roc and Tiguan line-ups.

If the international reveal is anything to go by, expect the T-Cross to carry over its engine options. In Australia there is only one engine option, a 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 85kW/200Nm driving the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

The 2024 T-Cross is expected to hit the market before the end of the year overseas, although there's no word yet on when the updates will arrive in Australia.

The current T-Cross range consists of just two variants, the base Life priced from $30,990 before on-roads and the top-spec Style priced from $33,490.
