Carsguide Contributing journalist Peter Anderson had this to say at the time: The Civic was pretty good when it landed in 2016 but remains wilfully weird and lacking in a couple of details. The lack of advanced safety at the lower end of the range is also extremely frustrating. Even though the Mazda3 range now starts where the VTi-S is priced, it's loaded with safety gear and handles well into the bargain.

Honda Civic 2019 Seats
The following Honda Civic is available with five seats as both a hatch and sedan, including 60:40 folding rear seats. Black fabric seat trim is available on the VTi variant. The VTi-S and VTi-L variants both come with Black fabric seat trim, with chequered accent stitching. The RS variant is available with Black leather-appointed seat trim with red accent stitching.
