Our most recent review of the 2021 Audi Q5 resulted in a score of 7 out of 10 for that particular example.
Carsguide Family Reviewer Kate Edwards had this to say at the time: In a lot of ways you get what you pay for here - this is indeed a luxury mid-sized SUV with lots of bells and whistles, comfort, performance and safety. It handles well on the road, and suits city driving and longer journeys, though the fuel efficiency for city driving is not great.

The 2021 Audi Q5 carries a braked towing capacity of up to 2000 Kg, but check to ensure this applies to the configuration you're considering.
The Audi Q5 2021 prices range from $37,730 for the basic trim level SUV 35 TDI Mhev Limited Edition to $92,840 for the top of the range SUV 50 TDI Quattro Sport.
You could have a problem anywhere in the wiring between the starter button and the starter motor. It could even be a problem with the starter motor itself. This function is computer controlled, too, so you may find the body computer is the root cause. An auto electrician will be able to check this out and diagnose the fault.
But there’s one thing you can check before that, and that is to remove and clean the contacts on the actual starter button. You will need to remove it from the dashboard (disconnect the car’s battery first) and carefully take the button apart and spray some terminal cleaner or contact cleaner on to the contacts. If you’re not confident to do this, the same auto electrician will be able to help you out.
These buttons (which are really switches) accumulate all sorts of grime and moisture from the air, the car’s interior and, of course, the fingers that operate the button.
The updated Q5 arrives with an overhauled colour palate consisting of 12 choices. A basic black or white are available for no cost, while metallic shades of red, green, silver, grey, black, blue, and white are available at a price. Two further grey options and a light blue are available only on the top-spec S-Line.
The interior of the Audi Q5 has been tweaked for the 2021 model year to include a larger touchscreen, a tweaked centre console with extra storage and a wireless phone charger, and different highlight trim options. Otherwise the Q5 remains largely the same as the pre-facelift model launched in 2017, missing out on the more comprehensive design overhaul seen in cars like the Q3, Q8, and A1.
The Q5 offers uniform boot space accross its range of 520 litres (VDA). This is competitive for the segment (if slightly smaller than some key rivals) and easily consumes our CarsGuide test luggage set with space to spare.
As standard all Q5s now score a 10.1-inch multimedia touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto connectivity. All grades also offer an adjustable wireless phone charging bay. Audi's signature 'Virtual Cockpit' instrument cluster is also standard, as is electrical adjustment for the front seats and three-zone climate control. Standard wheels have been upgraded from 18-inch to 19-inch, and the base car has had plastic cladding removed in favour of a full-paint finish.
The Audi Q5 has five seats, and are clad in upgraded 'leather appointed' trim across the range. Front seats are electrically adjustable as standard, while the rear seats can be upgraded via a comfort pack to ride on rails and offer further back angle adjustment.
The Q5 scores tweaked engines accross its range now with mild hybrid systems and upgraded 0-100km/h sprint times. The entry-level diesel 2.0-litre 40 TDI will allow a 0-100km/h sprint time of 7.6 seconds, the petrol 2.0-litre 45 TFSI provides a sprint time of 6.3 seconds, while the top-spec 3.0-litre turbo diesel V6 50 TDI allows a 0-100km/h sprint time of just 5.7 seconds
