Toyota has updated its 4WD king for model year 2025 with a host of spec tweaks.
The 2025 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series looks the same and keeps the 3.3-litre twin-turbo diesel engine — still no much-anticipated hybrid announcement — but it picks up enhanced multimedia and standard equipment.
Pricing will be announced nearer the revised 300 Series’ release in Q2 2025, but expect it to climb from the 300 Series current $96,991 list. The flagship Sahara ZS is also likely to squeeze up from $145,791, both before on-road costs.
Toyota has made these running changes for MY25 just after the release of the new 250 Series LandCruiser Prado, and ahead of Nissan’s much-anticipated Patrol release at the end of 2026.
Changes across the range include more Toyota Connect features, such as trip info and more alerts through the smart phone app, along with remote air-con control.
Safety is boosted with lane-trace assist, emergency steering assist and emergency driving stop joining auto emergency braking, forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control and more across the 300 Series range.

The GX benefits from a power-adjustable steering column, front LED cabin lighting, guidelines for its reversing camera and a larger 8.0-inch touchscreen. It retains rubber floor mats, fabric upholstery and manual seat adjust.
The seven-seat GXL scores new suede-like fabric upholstery, eight-way power driver’s seat with lumbar support, moves from dual- to quad-zone climate control, gets a centre console coolbox and 40/20/40 split-folding second row.
On the safety front, all grades from GXL up are now equipped with blind-spot monitoring and parking speed reverse AEB functionality.

The VX with its synthetic leather upholstery, heated and ventilated front seats and larger 12.3-inch touchscreen now gets eight-way power adjustment for the front passenger, an HDMI port to replace the DVD/CD player and a power tailgate.
The ritzy leather-bound Sahara and Sahara ZX trims remain unchanged, while the off-road focussed GR Sport trim gets a new puddle lamp.
Under the bonnet, the 3.3-litre twin-turbo diesel V6 puts out unchanged power and torque outputs of 227kW and 700Nm. It is mated to a 10-speed automatic. An i-Force Max powertrain as seen in the Tundra ute may eventually join the 300 Series line-up, but not this time.

The GA-F ladder-frame construction and four-wheel drive system remains, obliging a 3500kg braked towing capacity.
