Mazda has detailed its 2025 CX-30 small SUV line-up which introduces technology upgrades and a new variant.

Prices are up across the board between $800-$1000 with the fresh Touring LE variant based on a mid-level model with some stylish trim choices.

Outside, the Touring LE ($41,940, before on-road costs) gets its 18-inch alloy wheels finished in black to match the unique grille, mirror caps and wing. Inside, there’s 'Terracotta' synthetic leather mixed with suede highlights and coordinated Terracotta stitching.

The Touring LE is front-wheel drive only and paired with the 114kW/200Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic transmission. There is no manual option available after Mazda dropped it earlier this year.

It also scores the 'Vision Pack' that adds a 360-degree camera, 10.25-inch multimedia screen, adaptive cruise control and lane-trace assist, driver-attention monitoring and front cross-traffic alert.

All grades now get connected services following their introduction on the MX-5 sports car. Via a smartphone application, owners can remotely locate their vehicle, geofence it, flash the lights, remotely unlock or lock and track a stolen vehicle. An SOS button is new, too.

Aside from USB-C ports replacing the slower charging USB-A design across the range, the Evolve, Touring, Astina and GT SP all now benefit from wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

A punchier 2.5-litre petrol four-cylinder developing 139kW and 252Nm remains available in Touring trims and above while the upper GT SP and Astina grades can be paired with all-wheel drive for an extra $2000.

The CX-30 remains a strong seller despite new competition from the GWM Haval Jolion and MG ZS as well as more established names including the Hyundai Kona, Nissan Qashqai and Toyota Corolla Cross

The 2025 Mazda CX-30, including the new Touring LE, will begin rolling out to dealers from September.
