"The Lexus GS debuted in 1993 as a luxury large sedan aiming to compete with German rivals in style and performance. Known internationally as the Toyota Aristo in Japan, the GS quickly gained a reputation for blending refined comfort with sporty dynamics, setting itself apart with a focus on reliability and cutting-edge technology. Over its lifespan, the GS balanced luxury features and driver engagement, appealing to those who wanted a sophisticated yet thrilling drive.
Through multiple generations, the GS evolved significantly, introducing hybrid powertrains and advanced safety systems to meet changing market demands. The fourth-generation model, launched in 2011, showcased sharper styling and enhanced performance options, including V6, V8 and hybrid variants. Despite its appeal, the GS faced stiff competition from European marques and shifting buyer preferences towards SUVs, leading to its eventual discontinuation in some markets.
For Australian buyers seeking a large sedan with a reputation for comfort, reliability and refined driving dynamics, the Lexus GS remains a compelling option in the used luxury segment. It represents Lexus’ commitment to blending luxury with innovation and performance in a package that stands out on local roads."
The line-up currently starts at $33,000 for the GS350 Sport Luxury and ranges through to $108,680 for the range-topping GS F Semi-Aniline Trim +Ep3.
It’s not a problem with the battery, and replacing the battery won’t fix it. There’s a leakage somewhere that’s causing the battery to drain. It will be something that’s not turning off when the car is turned off, like a computer, a light, or something that’s staying on all the time when it shouldn’t be. Try an auto electrician.
