First revealed to the world in 1979, the ladder-frame work truck from Mercedes quickly made headlines as the most holy form of transport – a ‘Popemobile’.
It is as much a working vehicle like the Toyota LandCruiser70 Series as it is a status symbol in full-fat V8 AMG guise. One thing it has never sacrificed is go-anywhere dependability.
The latest all-electric model pays homage to the original design and has a unique ‘G-Turn’ capability.
The line-up currently starts at $246,500 for the G-Class G 400D and ranges through to $413,561 for the range-topping G-Class G63 Grand Edition.
The following Mercedes-Benz G-Class is available with five seats. The Mercedes-AMG G 63 variant comes with Black Nappa leather as standard. Single tone exclusive Nappa leather is available as a part of the optional Exclusive Interior Plus Pack, with the choice between Black, Classic Red or Macchiato Beige. Two tone Nappa leather is also available as an optional extra, with the choice between Truffle Brown/Black, Macchiato/Black or Tartufo/Black.
