The problem you describe is a relatively common one with the Aisan auto Volvo uses. Volvo's fix is to reflash the TCM to alter the shift points, which seems to be what your dealer has done. Hopefully you won't have any more problems with it, but keep an eye on it.

Both are 5-star rated by ANCAP, both have similar levels of tech features, but the Volvo S60 diesel is marginally better on fuel. As for look, that's in the eye of the beholder.

Brake fluid is 'hydroscopic', which means it absorbs moisture. So, over time, the boiling temperature of the fluid drops and that's a safety hazard. So the whole system needs to be either bled or purged, also to remove air bubbles that can also develop and hurt the braking performance.

The interior boasts a Scandinavian design, in that everything looks pared back but still elegant.
The dashboard features soft-touchpoints, tailored upholstery and extra-large air vents. The 9.0-inch touchscreen multimedia system and 12-inch digital instrument panel headline the dash and the centre console features a crystal gear shifter by Orrefors.
The headliner in the mild-hybrid Ultimate grade is 'Blond' and on the PHEV Black Edition it is black. This grade also sees a panoramic sunroof come as standard.

The plug-in hybrid Recharge Black Edition variant has a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine and electric motor producing a combined 340kW of power and 709Nm of torque.
All S60 variants have a boot capacity of 427L and the rear row features a 60/40 spit with a ski-port door.
