Just weeks after Australian pricing was confirmed for the Zeekr 7X, the model has been updated in its home market of China.

The 2026 Zeekr 7X, a mid-size electric SUV to rival the Tesla Model Y and Hyundai Ioniq 5, is confirmed for Australia with pricing starting from $57,900 before on-road costs.

Information from the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) details an update for the model, which claims an electric driving range as long as 800km is on the cards.

CarNewsChina published the details alongside images from the MIIT, which show the 7X hasn’t changed significantly in terms of its exterior design.

The Zeekr 7X’s local line-up for Australia will consist of three variants: a 75kWh version boasting a 480km range, a 100kWh variant with a 615km range, and a performance-focused model with the same 100kWh battery, all-wheel drive and a 543km driving range.

These ranges are based on WLTP testing, though under China’s lenient CLTC testing they’re a claimed 605km, 780km and 705km respectively.

The updated 7X detailed in the MIIT listings have new ranges listed at 600km or 620km for variants with the 75kWh battery and 715km, 770km and 802km with a slightly larger 103kWh battery.

Currently, the 7X single-motor variants produce 310kW/440Nm while the AWD Performance version makes 475kW/710Nm.

Reports from China put the two different layouts at 370kW and 585kW respectively after the update.

CarsGuide has contacted Zeekr Australia for information regarding the updated 7X and whether it will affect the model’s local launch.
