The five-seat, five-door small SUV starts at $26,990 for a 2.0-litre four-cylinder petrol-powered front-wheel-drive manual version, rising to $28,990 for a six-speed auto.

An auto all-wheel-drive petrol version costs $30,990 while an all-wheel-drive version with a 1.5-litre turbodiesel and auto gearbox costs $33,390.

It sits above the Neo and Maxx, and below the Akari model grade, all of which offer petrol and diesel versions, as well as 2.0-litre petrol or 1.5-litre turbodiesel engine options.

The sTouring comes standard with front and rear AEB, reversing camera, LED headlights, Mazda's torque vectoring system, cruise control, digital radio, heads-up display and sat nav.

Its 2.0-litre direct injection four-cylinder petrol engine makes 109kW at 6000rpm and 195Nm at 2800Nm, while the 1.5-litre turbodiesel makes 77kW at 4000rpm and 270Nm at 1600-2500rpm.
