Carsguide Contributing journalist Peter Anderson had this to say at the time: The RX is a little frustrating - it's going after Mercedes and BMW and Audi in a hotly-contested space and falls over in a couple of key areas. The media/sat nav system is hopelessly outdated and the drivetrain fails to deliver a significant performance or fuel benefit (although, given its 2.2 tonnes, perhaps it delivers a miracle).

Lexus RX 2019 Seats
The following Lexus RX is available with either five or seven seats. The RX 300, RX 350 and RX 450h are all available with five seats. The long wheelbase RX 350L and RX 450hL are available with seven seats. The RX is available in one of three grades being: Luxury, F-Sport and Sports Luxury. The Luxury grade comes with the choice of Ivory, Black or Rich Cream leather seat trim. The F-Sport grade includes the choice either of Black, F-Sport Black, F-Sport Black and White or F-Sport Flare Red leather seat trim. The Sports Luxury grade includes the choice of Black, Ochre, Rich Cream or Ivory leather seat trim.

It’s unlikely that a manufacturing fault should show up after 11 years. I suspect that you’re just unlucky and its one of those freak thing that can happen. Even the best cars sometimes break down.

Is RX350 Sport Luxury missing a safety feature?
