The Evolution is the entry-level trim in the Australian Renault Duster line-up.
It’s offered with two powertrains in Australia, with pricing starting from $31,990 before on-roads for the front-wheel-drive automatic, extending to $36,490 before on-roads for the all-wheel-drive manual.
As standard the Duster Evolution comes with 17-inch alloy wheels, a 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster, a 10.1-inch touchscreen multimedia system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a wireless charger, dual-zone climate control, an electric park brake, and black and grey cloth upholstery.


Boot capacity for the FWD is 472L with the rear seats upright, while the AWD is 358L. Both versions have a full-size spare wheel.
Standard safety kit includes six airbags, autonomous emergency braking, lane departure warning, lane-keep assist, driver attention alert, traffic sign recognition, rear parking sensors and a reversing camera.
The Renault Duster Evolution 4x2 is powered by a 1.3-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine producing 113kW and 270Nm. This is mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic with drive sent to the front wheels only.

The Duster Evolution 4x4, on the other hand, is powered by a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine with 48V mild-hybrid assistance producing 96kW and 230Nm. This is mated to a six-speed manual transmission with drive sent through an all-wheel-drive system.
Claimed fuel consumption for the Duster Evolution 4x2 is 6.5L/100km and for the Duster Evolution 4x4 is 5.7L/100km, both on the combined cycle.
The former has a 50L fuel tank and requires a minimum of 91 RON regular unleaded petrol, while the latter has a slightly larger 55L fuel tank but requires higher quality 95 RON premium unleaded petrol as a minimum.
