Genesis has unveiled an updated 2025 GV70 luxury SUV ahead of its global launch in May and Australian arrival in the second half of 2024.
The Audi Q5, BMW X2 and Lexus NX rival is treated to some restrained visual updates outside and a tech lift within.
Final details are yet to be confirmed, but it sounds like the existing powertrain options will carry over. There’s also a new Sport pack, potentially hinting at Genesis’ future Magma performance models.
At the front the two-line headlights have been updated and there’s a more intricate ‘dual-weave’ G-Matrix mesh grille that gets a skid plate as well as larger air intakes.
New 19-inch alloy wheels finished in Dark Hyper silver and relocated tail-lights speak to the brand’s ‘Athletic Elegance’.
Within there’s a new 27-inch OLED display that integrated the digital driver’s display and multimedia touchscreen with a familiar row of touch shortcut buttons and HVAC panel beneath.

The steering wheel is new and comes in a two-tone design, while the Sport pack gets a flat-bottom (or D-Cut, in Genesis speak) steering with orange contrast piping and stitching on the leather upholstery.
Outside, the Sport pack – which feels very much on the way the first production Magma product – scores even larger air intakes, a double-layer G-Matrix grille, 21-inch alloy wheels, a dark chrome diffuser and exhaust tips.

Genesis has delivered 200,000 GV70s across the globe since the luxury medium SUV’s December 2020 release, with 2220 of those ending up with Australian buyers.
The South Koren luxury brand has confirmed the updated GV70 will land in Australia in the second half of the year, though what the trim levels will be known as is yet to be seen.
Pricing is also yet to be announced. The current range begins at $70,900 for the rear-drive GV70 2.5T and climbs to $92,200 (all before on-road costs) for the 3.5T AWD with Luxury Pack. The GV70 Electrified starts at $126,475 before on-road costs.
