The Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is a five-door, five-seat medium SUV, and it's only available in automatic 4x4 guise.
It's powered by a 200kW/315Nm 3.2-litre six-cylinder petrol engine, which is backed by a traditional nine-speed automatic transmission. There's no manual version available.
The $48,450 Trailhawk sits above the $35,950 Sport, the $41,950 Longitude and the $46,950 Limited, which uses the same engine.
Updated for 2019 with new front and rear bumpers, LED lights front and rear, and a composite bonnet and tailgate, the Trailhawk comes with cloth/leather trim, heated, vented and powered seats, auto headlights and wipers, 18-inch alloys, sat nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.
It also comes with a dual-range transfer case, taller suspension, underbody protection, three locking diffs and a bespoke terrain mapping program.
All Cherokees are equipped with AEB, lane departure warning and rear cross traffic alert as standard. Adaptive cruise control and auto parking is also included on the Trailhawk.
