The Hyundai Kona N Line Premium sits at the very top of the Hyundai Kona tree, both as its sportiest offering, and its most expensive ($42,400).
It pairs a 1.6-litre turbocharged engine with a seven-speed DCT, a sportier suspension setup and AWD.
It’s not cheap, but for your investment you get the very cool twin-screen setup (dual 10.25-inch screens, one in the driver’s binnacle and another in the centre of the dash) as well as heated and cooled seats up front and seats that are heated in the window seats in the back, a head up display, and your headlights and taillights are now LED, and there’s a sunroof.
The turbocharged engine produces 146kW and 265Nm, and the result is the sportiest option in the Kona family - at least until the full-blown N car arrives.
While all Hyundais’ are covered by a five-year, unlimited-kilometre warranty - which is now neither the best nor the worst warranty coverage available - there are some changes to servicing you need to know about.
While 2.0-litre cars require a trip to the service centre every 12 months or 15,000kms, cars with a turbocharged engine - like the N Line - need servicing every 12 months or 10,000kms.
